How Do I Find Out if I Still Owe Restitution

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California
While I was incarcerated they never withheld restitution. I was never asked to pay restitution. During sentencing, my public defender said I would never pay $607,000 in restitution, not to worry. While in prison I received two copies of restitution, one for $200.00 and another for $607,000. I got off probation in 2013. I was informed by friends that franchise tax board would take my tax refunds and apply them to my restitution. Well that never happened either. I would like to make payments on these amounts, I just don't know where to send them. I am currently on social,security disability.

I agree with your probation officer. Otherwise, the sentencing report from the court should have the information.
