What is Attempted Telecommunications Harassment
My question involves criminal law for the state of: ohio
i was charged with telecommunications harassment but they had no evidence so they dropped down to ATTEMPTED telecommunication harassment instead of dropping the whole case..so my question is how can someone ATTEMPT to telecommunicate harass someone?
Re: What is Attempted Telecommunications Harassment
What are the basic facts alleged to constitute the offense?
If what you are stating is that you accepted a plea bargain to attempted telecommunications harassment, predicated upon your allocution in which you admitted to the facts necessary to support a charge of telecommunications harassment, then the answer is not that you attempted to harass somebody but that you in fact did harass somebody and were given the opportunity to plead guilty to a lesser charge.
Telecommunications harassment is defined by O.R.C. 2917.21.
Attempt is defined by O.R.C. Sec. 2923.02.
