Custodial Parent Has Never Had My Child but She Gets the Child Support

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: I am 34 years old and i have a son that is 15, His mother had him in prison but she DID NOT release him to me she Legally signed him to a family friend at birth. I have never had a say so in his life I do see him at times but I had been court ordered to pay child support for him (fine with me) but I pay his Mother and she HAS Never had him . The lady raising him has enrolled him in school from grade school to now high school. His mother gets the child support and doesnt even give it to him, she had told the Lady that has him that if she wants to keep him to tell the courts that he doesnt live with her. I have told the courts and nothing has happened over all these years? Ive been paying for 14 years and His Mother gets it all she has even been to prison for 4 years while i have been paying and doesnt even live in the same state as us.The Lady raising him recently told me that she didnt even know i pay child support. i am not able to have constant contact with him because she think im going to take him from her i am going to go and request school documents to show she has enrolled him in school all these years , she also gets state benifits for him.

WHAT DO I DO??????? HELP ME

Have you even bothered to try and get an enforceable visitation plan?

We need to know your state too.

Im in Texas and No i have not done anything but let the AOG know i didnt know which way to go

You can considering petitioning to modify support, in which case the money you are paying could end up going to the child's caregiver instead of his mother. You will still pay support.

Then it's hardly Mom's fault that you didn't bother trying to find your son, I'm sorry, that's an excuse. While I'm sure that Mom is no angel either, don't blame her for you not seeing the child. After all, you found the person who is raising the child.

What will happen if you're really wanting to cause a fuss, is that the child support will simply be redirected.

Aunt gets the child support, Mom....well, Mom can do whatever she wants.

One thing though: if your next thought is to get custody of the child so you aren't paying child support, don't. After this much time that's probably the cruelest thing you can do to the child.

Not to mention, this "aunt" would probably be in a MUCH better position considering you've been effectively absent this child's entire life.

TO YOU ALL THAT ARE NAMING ME A DEAD BEAT I AM NOT I LIVE IN THE SAME TOWN AND I DO SEE HIM BUT THE LADY THAT HAS HIM DOESNT LET ME GET CLOSE!!! I have been in his ENTIRE life i attend all school and sporting events i also buy him things he comes over my home and all!! YOu ppl are Narrow minded I would never take him from the lady i only want him to get his money IDIOTS!! He has been in family pics with me and all SMH you ppl are not even addressing the issue at hand your just taking about me seeking custody of him and that not what im tring to do.

To me i think me and his mother should have to pay Child support not just me being that he tells me he doesnt even know where she is and he thinks she hates him or ashamed of him!!
