Will an Out-of-State Ticket Affect Your License
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Massachusetts
I am a Connecticut resident and have a CT driving license. I got a speeding ticket (89mph in 65mph) in MA. I pleaded not guilty but I have work on the hearing date. Also, I do not think it's worth driving all the way to a court in Massachusetts (3 hours each way) for the hearing. If I pay the fine would that impact my driving record in CT? Does Massachusetts report speeding violation to Connecticut? Basically I would like to know what consequences I will face if I just pay the fines. I would really appreciate any suggestions or comments.
Re: Will an Out-of-State Ticket Affect Your License
I believe that CT and MA are both members of the Driver License Compact (google it) and report traffic convictions to each other.
So, yes, the MA conviction will likely go on your CT record.

If you have a CDL license, yes, it will be reported.

You can hire a lawyer to attend the hearing in your place and you do not have to show up. He/she will handle it for you.
