Pawning a Stolen Item

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas. Hello, in June 2014 i bought a yellow gold 14k box chain necklace with a yg cross on it off of craigs list, i paid $180 for it all together, we met at Walmart in beaumont tx i dont remember the exact day or time and the number he was texting me from was a texting app i believe because i couldnt call only text. well In October i pawned the necklace along with other items, the other items i bought with my money and have the reciepts for them but not the necklace because i bought it from someone. well i went to the pawn shop today on 12-20-14 to make a payment and they said the police had it on hold and i asked why and he said it was reported stolen. the only thing i can think of on it is the necklace and cross. well heres the crazy part. i used to work in Gordons and left in August this year, i was telling my old manager about what happend and she was saying in september a bunch of missing merchandise was reported lost and under investigation the loss prevention man came and watched the cameras and they didnt see anything. i didnt steal it from my job and the cameras can prove it but i think i bought stoeln mercandise from my job because even in June we was missing items but they didnt look into it, we do case counts every month and report missing things. so i think that since i worked there they searched for all the employees who might of pawned something and my name probably came up and they put it on hold. i cant find the craigslist ad i have a new phone so his number is gone i dont even remember the guys name. i emailed craiglist to see if they can recover the deleted ad. what else can i do to prove im innocent even if they see on cameras i didnt take anything but cant provide much info of meeting the guy

They have a good circumstantial case against you. Never buy gold from Craigslist unless you are intending to melt it down and are capable of assessing its value. Even then, there have been cases of both buyers and sellers being robbed at the time of purchase. That does not change the possession of stolen property charge which is clear.

but i got the necklace in june, only thing i can prove is showing pics of me wearing it in june, my old coworkers seen me with it there. they started noticing the jewelry missing in september, i left gordons in august they can run the camera which they said they already did from the time i was there, if you work in a jewelry store and something in the store comes up missing they search the employees name at pawn shops, and the man who works at the shop said the detective said that all of it might be stolen but everything else i have reciepts for and can prove that i bought those items, just not the necklace because i didnt get it from a actual store. im just scared that it might be one of the missing pieces but when i got it, we didnt have any roberies at the store, but its a common plain jain cross every jewelry store have. its a $180 necklace that would be worth around $500 in the store kinda cheap looking chain really thin and small cross

You need an attorney. First off, everything you are saying right now is you are making pure conjecture at this point. Do not talk to the police without an attorney. They are fishing and you're likely to dig your self deeper. It's easy to tell a story here, but even if we believed you 100%, it doesn't look good for you. I have no idea what you're trying to state with the justification (other than you consider your store to be overpriced which doesn't help your case).

i bought all my jewelry from my job when i worked there, diamond bracelet and a couple rings, i have recipts for those I just feel like me buying a necklace off of craigslist that couldve been stolen looks fishy, and when i was telling my old manager what happened and she brung up the investigation going on there it made me feel like theyre thinking im the one who stole everything and i dont want to get blaimed for that, they ran the cameras i dont know how far back they went but they can look again starting in June when i got the necklace and watch me it dosnt bother me if they highlight me in the tape and watch only me because i know i didnt do it. my old manager know i didnt because she and my other coworkers saw my necklace while i was there. the police put it on hold 3 weeks ago and no one contacted me until i went to the shop to get the items, he said call the detective, so i shouldnt call?

You are being investigated for a crime for which it appears you are guilty.
If they call, ignore them or say that your attorney says not to speak to them.
If they insist or you actually get arrested, clam up and get on the phone to the attorney immediately.

Nothing in you story matters at all at this point:

1. Nothing you can say changes the above advice.
2. Everything you are basing your posts here is purely guesswork.

You being blamed for the thefts is NOT going to be changed by you incriminating yourself to the cops.

okay, i just want my name to be cleared, they cant pin anything on me because theres nothing on camera with me taking anything i dont steal and i know its my word against theres, my coworkers and manager said theyre willing to tell them that i been had the necklace, thats jail time i could be facing if they pin it on me my manager said only reason why my stuff is on hold is bc they do that to all employees who pawned things.

Dude. I give up. You're not being tried on the forum and nothing you can say is going to make it OK here. If you talk in real life like you post, you doubly need to shut up. It'sou w near impossible to understand you since you refuse to use sentences and punctuation.

Again, your employer has already made up his mind. You arguing with him and incriminating yourself to the cops is NOT going to change that. Sorry, if you are innocent, but life isn't always fair. The only way you MIGHT get cleared is if they catch the person who really has been stealing from them. Believe me corporate risk managment/LP is even scummier than the cops. They're not even restricted by most aspects of the legal process. I saw them grill my son in retail over stolen merchandise even though everybody knew the local store manager was stealing things and he had been arrested for arson in an attempt to hide his theft.

Please do us the courtesy of thinking back to the fourth grade and write sentences that begin with capital letters and end with a period.

The answer is still KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. If you're arrested and hauled in, say you will not speak until you have a lawyer (a public defender if necessary).

The one crime they appear to have clear evidence of is possession of stolen property for the necklace you pawned. Do not make your situation worse by giving them ammo.
