Can a Mother Hide Her Son from a Father
My question involves a child custody case from the State of: PA and NC
A father moved from the state their child was in inorder to care for a sick father(moved to PA). The mother moved to NC but will not allow the father to have her number or address, or see their child. I do not believe there is any court custody agreement. Can that be considered kidnapping? What can he do to get not only a hold of her but see his son? Also he is paying child support so can't the mother be found through that payment?
Re: Can a Mother Hide Her Son from a Father
If dad wants legally enforceable rights to see the child, dad needs to file for a custody and visitation agreement.
We have no way of telling you anything about the existing custody order (if any) or the child support order. If dad chose not to ask for visitation at the time he was court ordered to pay support, that would explain why he doesn't have any visitation rights.
