    Possessing Loaded Weapons at Home
My question involves criminal law for the state of: California
My friend was arrested outside his residence by local police officers. He had 2 loaded weapons but never pointed them at anyone. when police arrived he immediately put down his weapons and was booked into county jail. He has no criminal background what so ever. He was released on $50,000.00 dollar bond. He can not afford a high priced attorney. What does his prognosis look like?

We have none of the relevant facts, beyond the fact that your friend was carrying loaded guns around his property, so this is something your friend will have to discuss with his lawyer.

He was not arrested simply for possessing a loaded firearm. There are a number of reasons why his possessing a firearm might have been illegal.

So, what charges was he booked under? What happened? Why were the police there?
