    Re: North Carolina Emancipation Eligibility
I would have the 40 hour job before request, most definitely. I would indeed make sure that job was going to be stable for a while too; however, obtaining the GED before request may serve as a problem, considering I would need a legal guardian to sign. I do not think either one of my parents would, and I would might have to wait until after emancipation to sign for a GED.

Your not listenning or being realistic which is a typical teen trait. (no offense inteneded) A judge is not likely going to grant your request without your finishing High School! You assume you will have a 40 hour a week job paying enough to support yourself! You are assuming you will find a Landlord willing to rent to you. You are assuming you know what it cost to live alone! You are assuming your parents will sign and approved of this! You think you have this plotted out but your plot has too many holes in it. Read the laws of emancepation for your state and make sure you HAVE all that is REQUIRED. Word of advice dont be so quick to be on your own its not all its cracked up to be!

    Re: North Carolina Emancipation Eligibility
I understand; however, I am not being ignorant on any of this. I understand the cost of living, because trust me, I've been through it. I've had to live on the streets with my family for 2 years growing up, and I know what it's like to beg people for money just for some food. Now that I have some grounds to stand for on myself, and I do have some money in order to provide for myself, I want to take that option instead of waiting around letting my mother spend all the money I have without providing for me.

Living on the streets is hardly a means to gauge life! You have many things working againist emancepation and you have no in favor. Reread through this thread what you need has been given you and you have little or none of it.
