Relocating to Care for a Sick Parent

My question involves child support in the State of: North Carolina. I am the custodial parent of two children. The father is currently in custody for non payment. This case has been active for three years with only 5 payments being made in this time. I have a need to move out of state to care for my mother who's health continues to worsen. I need to know what my obligations are in regard to child support/ custody laws.

What does your custody agreement/order say regarding relocation?

If Dad doesn't agree, it will go before the court and then it becomes all about what is best for the child.

So first things first. How often does Dad see the children?

Not often right now, since he is in custody.
