Obtaining a Minor's Property After a Change of Custody
My question involves guardianship in the State of: Texas
I have my 17yo daughter living with me in Texas, her mother lives in NJ. the mother relinquished guardianship and sent her here. We wish to have her belongings sent to us, but are meeting with a lot of resistance. The mother also stole my daughters sweet sixteen birthday money, not a lot 160.00. My biggest issue is that the mother also has the bonds that , my mother, has been saving for her since birth. How can we resolve the above issues? We have already started child support procedures, Does my daughter have any recourse?

    thanks

Have your mother ask the child's mother for the bonds.

Yes. My fear is that she forged them and cashed them! She avoids the subject. I assume after my mom sends me the bond serial numbers, I can find out for sure! I also assume if she did forge them, my daughter has a suit
