Larceny Charge in Florida

Hello,

I have a felony larceny charge against me in Florida. The company that brought the charge against me is now in the process of dismissing the charges. I spoke with a secretary for the State Attorney and they said this process takes about 6-8 weeks.

I am applying for a gaming license here in Iowa and have been offered a position. I can't apply for a license with a felony charge on my record, what is the fastest way to get this removed from my record. I've also heard the terms expunged and sealed, does that pertain to my case?

There may not be an easy way to speed up the dismissal process. You may wish to contact a criminal defense lawyer in the Florida county where the charge is pending, to see if that lawyer can expedite the process.
