Wrongfully Accused of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Larceny
My question involves criminal law for the state of: I was recently charged with larceny of a firearm, which turned to possession of firearm by felon, but the thing is I didn't do it and have numerous people writing statements in my defense stating that the accusations are indeed false. Facing a lot of years for these charges and having issues with hiring an attorney I need advice before I lose out on my education while im enrolled in college. I need serious advice or help.

If you can't afford an attorney, the court will appoint you one.

    Assuming you're in the US.

(If you are in the US, written statements won't count for much, if anything)

so what is it you want?

    Again, the state is important.

    but to your basic question:

apparently the prosecutor and grand jury if applicable saw enough to show probable cause you did commit the crime. Now the next step is the state prosecuting you and you defending against the charges. That's how it works.

If you care to share some info, somebody might be able to help you understand things a bit more.

It was all in district court then they said if you hel us get the person that has part in charging you with these crimes (my brother) thenwe will help you get off these charges, and I turned them down and then it went to superior court.

    slow down.

whether the charges are valid are not does not change whether they offer you leniency or a plea deal if you roll on your brother.

because the facts as presented to the DA were, in the DA's opinion, sufficient to bring charges, and the grand jury agreed.

somewhere along the line there is an issue with a gun and apparently some proof you had a gun. If it is all BS, then proving you actually possessed it would be kind of difficult
