Can an 18 Year Old Get in Trouble for "Dating" a 17 Year Old
My question involves criminal law for the state of: California
My boyfriend (18) and I (17) have been dating for several years and he is one year and two months older but in the same grade in school. My parents adore him and his parents love me. The relationship has not been sexual. Since tuning 18 he will refuse to even hug me or kiss me with the fear of being accused of braking the law. I have heard before that there is no crime committed if the woman denies the accusation of it being rape if the two people are within two years of each other. My parents or his parents would never accuse this awesome totally genuine guy of being a sex offender when he's not. He told me there is a new law that can make it so that any adult can call to report him and he would be put in jail no matter what I, or our parents, had to say about the situation. I did some research but couldn't find anything. Please tell me what I need to know.
