Uh, bestiality has nothing to do with civil rights and the Supreme Court, unless there's a case about whether "the pursuit of happiness" includes that...

It's pretty sad that these legal forums consist more of people wanting to hear stories and make personal judgements rather than just answer actual questions about the law and the legal process.

You have received the only answer anyone has to give, absent a whole heap of research that you can pay someone else to do. The answer may remain the same after you fork over hundreds of dollars for said research.

You are asking for a black and white, carved in stone, always true in every situation regardless answer, to a question that has a great many shades of grey. Without knowing the situation you are referring to, no one here can know which particular shade applies. If that answer isn't good enough for you, then please do us the courtesy of taking yourself elsewhere and paying an attorney to answer your question.

If you doubt my honesty. I will send you a link to the conversation. Needless to say it was not received well by the forum members there in general. I figured this might be a less forthcoming version.

What's more unfortunate is that ignoramuses come to the forum and expect us all to be mind-readers and psychics, then become obnoxious when we are unable to read their minds and perfectly predict the future.

Oh, I don't doubt that someone might have asked something regarding beastiality on an internet legal forum, I just don't see how that would otherwise apply to the Constitution or civil rights. There have been weirder court cases, I'm sure.

I'm not really looking for an answer that solid, I'm just asking something pretty general - what does one point to as the basis that shows a lower court is under some obligation to obey a ruling issued by a higher court? Just "because they said so" doesn't seem to cut it.

I'm doing research, and I've asked a whole bunch of other people who are also doing research when they have the time - so far I haven't turned up anything, but I may not be looking in the right places. Hence turning to the internet to ask if anyone else knows, rather than wasting a whole bunch of time if someone else already knows.

This is why I asked a general question that doesn't require putting it into the context of a legal case. My replies aren't "obnoxious" - they're simply pointing out when people have made it clear they don't wish to help, only scoff at the fact I haven't laid out all the legal dramas in my life for them to peruse for their entertainment.

every single case is a different case. The specific facts make a difference. In fact, any lower case itself and all the statements and evidence presented makes a difference as the presentation itself or a difference in evidence can result in different rulings.

so, because of that, not only does "general" not get much of an answer, it isn't really meaningful as due to the variables possible in any given case, it just doesn't do much good to give a "general" answer.
