Spouse Death and Life Insurance During a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy
My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Indiana. In October of 2013 my husband and I filed a Chap 13 and have been paying our monthly installments. We still have approx 4 years left to make payments. Last week my husband passed away suddenly at the age of 45. We have 3 children, 1 is 21 and a senior in college, 1 is 15 a freshman in highschool and our youngest is 8. We still aren't sure what amount of life insurance he has. My question is, will the trustee take the life insurance if there is any and how much. I know I am going to have a difficult time financially.

This is really something that you need to be discussing with your bankruptcy attorney. You cannot and should not provide all of the details that would be needed to give you good advice, on an internet forum. I am very sorry for your loss. Do make sure that you apply for all applicable Social Security Survivor's benefits.
