Odds are that papers left on the floor would have ended up in the trash.

nope. i'm pretty sure the process server picked them up (huge mistake on their part). they obviously had no idea who they were dealing with, aka why they prolly threw the tantrum in frustration. they must have been newbies. oh well, too bad for them. again i dont care cali can pound sand, i have rights and they can't touch me.

    Bwahahahahahaha.

    Yes sir, Mr. Rockefeller, sir.

    BAER

Hey, you guys, they don't know who they're dealing with!

Doesn't matter WHO you are. The answer is still the same. Service was properly procured.

Maybe CA won't extradite you, but IL CAN prosecute you if you violate California's order.

So, to reiterate ... YES, you were properly served. BUT! It won't matter if you never contact the woman again or in any way violate the order. So, this will be a non-issue if you just obey the order.

what order. ;) and why would IL prosecute me? what are they gonna get out of it? there is a reason why we have jurisdictional laws in place. mainly its because most states have enough problems to deal with and they certainly aren't going to start trying to protect/defend someone in one of the other 49 states who doesn't help pay their salaries (aka taxes!)

The one that you were served but declined to pick up. You can deny it all you want, but, you were served.

    Look back ... full faith and credit through VAWA and 18 U.S. Code § 2265 ... 725 ILCS 5/112A-22.5 & 735 ILCS 5/12-652(c) ... you know, the law.

States do that. I've seen it.

So, based upon your confrontational tone, am I correct in assuming that you will continue to tweak the plaintiff's nose by contacting/harassing/threatening her in some way?

I have no doubt that you're correct, and based upon these hostile I can't be touched or held accountable comments, I feel sorry for the petitioner who obtained the Protective Order. I honestly think this poster poses a real threat to the protected person.

I wasn't talking to you; but, as even you should be able to figure out, if papers are picked up by somebody they're not left on the floor.

haha! possibly the most moronic post of the year. someone who knows NOTHING about a situation says someone is a threat because of an anonymous forum post and as always, the victim is a victim, waaah waaaah, always feel sorry for the person that "claims" to be a victim. you people are not very intelligent. bunch of wanna-be cops in sheeps fur.

Great. Now all I can think about is Leonard Nimoy singing about Bilbo Baggins. Massive ear worm.
