Re: Do I Have a Chance of Emancipation
I will be 18 June 4th. I have been talking to a lawyer and she has said that there are many things that we could get them with. But I know that's not all to it I'm hoping there are other options if I can't be emancipated. I understand there are a lot of people who have had a hard life and mine hasn't been the easiest either but that isn't the point.

The point is that you appear to have the brains to use all this negative in a positive manner. Allowing others to foot the bill for your food, clothing and shelter in a managed environment appears logical.

Yes, according to her they are breaking the law by havin the same therapist as me, not having a bedroom door and "mental abuse". I'm not 100% sure but I am hoping she is correct. Recently they have decided to take all my money and put it to where I have no access which is what I have been saving up for sometime. They told me tonight that I have never loved anything and meet will and its all my fault that I have lost the people I have lost. They said if I err have children then they don't know how I'll ever be able to love it. I have tried very hard to be the best I can be. I want to finish high school go to college and get my doctors degree so be a geneticist and work in a lab researching how to cure deseases. I do where pjs. (Just saw that) one of them said " idiot want you living here for damn sure if you don't want to" but the other one won't let me leave because she likes to be in control. She has to say the opposite I anything anyone says.

    No, she's not correct.

But do you know how I know that somebody is lying here?

Because the attorney is a mandated reporter who has a legal duty to contact CPS/equivalent if they suspect a minor is being abused.

So there are two possibilities. The attorney is giving you lip service, or....

(For what its worth, it's not illegal to have the same therapist, it's not illegal to have your bedroom door removed, it's not illegal to verbally abuse your kid. Seems like the attorney is 0-3)

Stick it out, Kris. You don't have much longer until you can say goodbye and never return.

One last thing hon, next time your "brother" crosses the line, tell him he had better not so much as appear to be trying to invade your privacy or you are calling 911 and he can explain how much he "loves" you to the police and a judge.

Can you move in with your aunt, given your age the court would give your option a lot of weight.
