When Will Walmart Drop a Shoplifting Charge
My question involves criminal law for the state of: GA

I know its a corporation, but is there a chance of my case falling through the cracks or getting kicked out? It was a misdemeanor theft and has been over 3 months since the arrest. The civil demand has already been paid.

It's not typically up to Walmart. If the police weren't informed at the time, it's likely they will ever be (and hence you won't be charged criminally). If they did inform the police, the police/prosecutor may have decided not to pursue it (or it fell through the cracks) or it's just taking a while.

    Were the police involved?

If you were arrested it's out of WallyWorld's hands. Your case is most likely still active, just a ways down the (likely prioritized) list. You can check with the arresting department to see at what stage the case is.

Not likely at all that they 'forgot' about you.
