Doctor's Report for a Traffic Accident Case
My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: CALIFORNIA
Good afternoon,
I was injured in a traffic accident and made a recovery this past April, it is now August and the Lawyer's Office that is representing me still has not received the Final Doctor's Report from the Doctor's Office that I was going to during my recovery.
My question is, how long is TOO long to be waiting for a report? It's literally been 18 weeks now. Is this normal? Is the Lawyer's Office giving me the runaround?
Re: Doctors Report - Traffic Accident
Have you called your doctor and asked about the final report?
What does your doctor say about it?

@adjusterjack
Yes and their reply is "we're pretty swamped".
A side note, after I posted this here, the Lawyer's Office called and said they received the report and to except to hear something in 8 weeks.
So aside from the initial 18 weeks I now have to wait another 8 weeks - not sure if this is normal, am I entitled to the following:
- A copy of the Final Report?
- Amount of the settlement the Lawyer's office is looking for?

Personal injury cases sometimes take a couple of years to settle, longer if in suit.

You should be entitled to copies of everything in your attorney's file. Whether you get it all or not is between you and him.

Ask him.
Re: Doctor's Reportfor a Traffic Accident Case
You are likely to find the doctors treatment and discussion vary greatly with what he is willing to put down on paper. Don't be shocked if the offer received and what you expect vary greatly.
