Who Owns Photographs that an Employee Takes During Work Hours on a Company Phone
Hello
I took a series of digital photographs that I want to publish, but I did this during a business trip using my company phone.
If it every came to light, can my employer claim ownership of the photos?
And what is the best waay to protect my work?

Well, you'd need to explain this better. What were you doing while taking pictures? What is your job responsibility? etc....
The employer certainly could argue these were taken in the course of your employment (bolstered by the fact that they paid you to travel to this location and it was their equipment you used).
Your counter is that your job doesn't entail taking pictures and you weren't on the clock at the time.

You also need to identify your state, and identify whether there are any written contracts between yourself and your employer that pertain to intellectual property.

You can't trust your employer not to claim ownership, not when matters are left to chance.
