Class D felony

Hi, I'm from Indiana. My husband pled guilty to 2 class d felony theft under the advisement of our attorney. Ask for workrelease or any other alternative sentence. He is a first offender. He was sentenced to 9 months in state prison. we have 3 kids. our attorney will not put an appeal in for him.Isthere any advice that anyone can help me with.

since he pled guilty, there really isn't anything to appeal except inneffective counsel, which is highly unlikey.

advice?

tell hubby to be a good boy so he can get out in less than 9 months due to credit for good behavior. get a big cast iron skillet so you can whack him the next time he considers doing something stupid that causes injury to his wife and children.

other than that, either work hard to continue to support the children or if you are on state aid (not being judgemental) find a hobby that keeps you busy while you wait.

Unless there is some extraordinary info you have left out, there isn't much else to do.

Is there a certain amount of time that he has to serve before good behavior starts. There is alot to this case. I am working very hard.

For a fast answer he should ask his criminal defense lawyer, or ask at the jail (they'll know the state's good time policies).
