Independent Sales Rep's Client Stopped Making Residual Payments
My question involves independent contractors in the state of: California

Hi am a sales rep that just got stopped getting paid in the last few months for residuals on the accounts sold, I do not have my agreement executed from the company I represented, (I only have mine). I got paid for the past 4 years.

What can I do? Can I denounce them in the labor board? Sew them? they just stopped returning my emails or calls.

    Thank you

    Sew them?

    I say hem the buggers!

    (Sorry, couldn't resist. :D)

On a more serious note, as an independent contractor you are not covered by labor laws, so you won't be able to "denounce them in the labor board". Your legal recourse in this situation is to sue them in civil court.

Also, just as a gentle reminder, if your user name is your real name, please note that if you do sue them, they will find your posts here and may use them against you in court. So be careful what you say here.

Well, what does it say about residuals?
