False Accusation of Sexual Abuse by a Niece
My question involves criminal law for the state of: west Virgina

My brother was arrested in January of 2014, for four counts of sexual assault in the first degree, right after his preliminarily hearing his court appointed attorney filed his paper work to with draw from the case and the paper work was lost. Shortly after the paper work was found and filed correctly he was appointed two other attorney's who had conflicted out. He now is appointed an attorney that has only came to talk with him once and didn't know his case at all and hasn't been back or contacted him or myself although we have left messages daily at his office. We feel like his rights are being violated. He hasn't been able to ask for a bond reduction and hes being held on a 250,000 $ bond. The accusing girl was medically examined and there was no physical evidence she had been sexually asulted. We have reason to believe she had been cohersed into saying this happened. Is there anything we can do to have this lawyer contact us or him? ?

If your brother, as the client, does not feel that his representation is adequate, he can petition the court for a different lawyer. If you don't believe his representation is adequate, you and the other members of his family can pass the hat and offer to pay for a private lawyer to represent him.
