Given a Final Warning After a False Accusation by a Co-Worker
I live in the state of California. I was given a final warning. Not once did i get a verbal or was spoken to about any of those incidents. The dates I was given of incidents i was off. Is this illegal?

Unless you have a contract or CBA that expressly guarantees progressive discipline and does not allow for any steps to be missed (which is highly unlikely) then no, it was not illegal.

I been working 10+ years. We have H.R. There is a policy where we are given verbals, written and finals. I was given a final and I have proof that i was off on those incidents and that they never happened.

In other words, they can fire you for wearing blue socks on your day off if they wanted as long as they didn't say they were firing you because you're gay and wearing blue socks.

Still not illegal except under the circumstances in my first post.
