How to Get Younger Sisters Placed in My Home Due to Abuse
My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of: Idaho
Recently while my younger sisters have come down to visit for my 2 year olds birthday party they had told me something very disturbing. I wont go into detail but he has been touching them, this has been going on for a year. They had told the school, police got involved but no investigation ever took place. Here we are a year later and they told me(first time I was even aware of the situation!).
I got with my twin brother since he was also down here for the weekend, we decided to call the police, due to this occurring in a different county we had to drive where they are from. We were able to get an investigation started(yay!) it is with local law enforcement and Health and Welfare/Child Protective Services. My mother and her boyfriend both were interviewed and agreed to take a polygraph, they declined the next day. I however heard from a family relative that my mother went in the next day to get one done, but her boyfriend hasn't.
I have experience with her boyfriend because he is the same guy she has dated since we my brothers and I were very little. He even has criminal history of child abuse from us.
My question is, how can I get custody of them? They were fostered into our family when they were one years old due to there biological family doing the same thing... I'm the only one who is able to care of these girls and I want whats best for them, and that's to be far away from my mother and her boyfriend as possible. Any suggestions? Should I get a lawyer or is this something I can do myself? Thank you.
Also, not sure if this matters, I am married and have two kids.

So these are foster children, not your actual sisters? Or did your mother adopt them? Are you related to these child at all?
Re: How to Get Younger Sisters Placed in My Home Due to Abuse
It appears if they are fostering at moms, if financially feasible, now is the time to volunteer to adopt them and take them off the state's foster roles.
Re: How to Get Younger Sisters Placed in My Home Due to Abuse
That is correct, they are my cousins but have been in our family since they were one years of age. They are now almost teenagers. I want to adopt them or gain custody some how.
My mother gets paid to have the girls so I don't think they are adopted, my mother and I don't speak much, only when the girls come visit.

Here's the thing with polygraphs. If you have a molester who - for whatever Godforsaken reason - doesn't think he's actually hurting the children, he's likely to sail right through it.
It proves nothing, in other words (though it can make a pretty good tool for scaring someone into confessing).

THIS is HUGE. ^^^^^ And absolutely relevant. Polygraphs? Meh. Convictions? That's what is needed which leads us to...

God bless you. The others have guided you correctly - I just wanted to say something about polygraphs.
