Mistreated at Work
My question involves civil rights in the State of: atlanta ga..I relocated to atl from another state with the same company. As soon as I started working at the new store they tried to make me the janitor but my job is sales. I did it for two weeks but when I ask why do I have to do this job if it's not mine, I was fired for insubordination and then to later be brought back demoted to part time and the harrasment by the store manager hasn't stopped. The HR lady even has told people on the job not to socialize with because I'm trouble. I tried to file for partial unemployment HR refuse to due the paper work they have blocked me from transferring to another store and the list goes on. I filed with eeoc were going for mediation but I don't know my rights or what I can ask for.

Re: Mistreated at Work
It's legal for a supervisor to dislike you and to be mean to you, unless the supervisor's actions are motivated by some form of unlawful discrimination. Does anything in your story have to do with discrimination based on gender, race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, skin color, disability, or anything other than the supervisor not liking you for her own, personal reasons?
