Adjusting Status from F1 to F2
I am a graduate student on F1 Visa. I graduate in 10th of May. My wife is ELS student on F1 Visa , and we were planning to spend our vacation on our home SAUDI after she graduate from ELS that supposed 30 June that during my grace period (60 days) then I will come back to US with her as depended with F2 Visa. unfortunately my wife failed last level in her school and she have to repeat the level before we leave because she has Academic Conditional Admission with pass the last level. when we decide to stay in USA. I have to find out something before my grace period I transferred from my university to English language to be legally until to go to my home. I get new I20 7, July 2014.

My inquiry, I want to visit my home on the end of this month then I want to renter with the same my I20 then as soon as I arrive USA I want to change my status In this case I have to return to my school until provided my change order because I cant to apply for F2 in my country cuz my vacation less than one month and we dont think will not enough and we want to renter on time for my wife will start her course August 24.

    1. How should I convert into a F-2 visa ? Will I be able to convert into F-2 visa when I come back

    2. What is the process to convert into F-2 ? How long does it take to convert from F-1 to F-2 ?

    3. In case if i convert into the F-2 visa can I leave my school after I apply

Please let me know as soon as possible.

Re: Depended Visa Case F1 to F2
If you apply for a student visa at a school during the summer, you are expected to actually attend.

Your entire plan is suspicious. If ytour wife is unable to meet the requirements of the ESL school, she is unlikely to be successful in her courses which require a very good command of English.

You need to engage an attorney to assist you. Spend your travel money on the lawyer if you cannot afford it otherwise if staying in the US for her school is important.

You have less than a month to leave after you graduate and cease attending school on your F1 legally.
