Permanent resident and trying to marry
Well i am a permanent resident in the Us came in the country legally and my dad gave me residents so i have a green card ssn and everything. I been dating my girlfriend for almost 2 years. We started dating in highschool and she was here legally kinda like a diplomat but not really she came with her dad. because his dad is in the army and he came to DC to become a general. Well they were here for a little over a year and she had to go back to her country slovakia. We decided do keep seeing each other because by this time we both feel inlove. She left last June and ever since we talked everyday and we send each other packages and i asked her to marry me and we been engaged ever since. This December i am going to spend new years with her. She is coming next june 07 with a visitors visa i believe either that or tourist idk if there is a difference. Well when she comes i want her to stay and marry her by civil. What can i do? whats going to happen after we get married can she stay or whats the easiest way to make her stay in this country when she comes all help is appreciated thanks.

Until you become a citizen, her best bet is to try to get a visa which would enable her to live in the U.S. and perhaps even to obtain permanent residency on her own. As a permanent resident, once married you can seek to sponsor her.
