I am a lawyer. There Robert, I started the post with what you want. But I am not a lawyer. And no lawyer is gong to tell you what you want to hear. You don't have a cause of action period.

You can engage in all the linguistic analysis you what but there is nothing wrong with your last name except in your head. You have used your last name as an excuse for all the failures in your life. If you can't see that or won't see that, you really need to get some counseling.

They can't do this to me! You're telling me i can't do anything about this? If i have kids i could be reported to child services for abuse...i feel emotionally castrated. How can they just railroad may life and lie to me and get away with it?

Or just change your last name. It's not lying and people do it all the time, like when they don't like their given name.

I'll ask again, did your father or his predecessors in the Cant family encounter any horrible difficulties in life caused by the name?
