Can You Sue Your Parents Over Your Last Name
The English word "cant" has many negative meanings... it's a cryptolect often used to mislead or exclude people... encyclopedias give reference to secret languages.. you can look up the definitions yourself just Google definition cant.
I believe I'm dealing with an abuse cover that is still going on.
my parents when questioned about my last name have always told me it is a different language and means to speak or sing.
The definition of cant tells that it is a double sided word.
It has ruined my life and continues to afflict me.
I lost my education, I've been homeless.. I've been hospitalized for mental illness as a result of the alleged abuse.I'm on food stamps and i live in government housing.
they have given me several different explanations about what language my name is in but they cannot prove what they say...
    please help me.
I want to take them to court to prove or disprove this suspicion.
Can i sue them for emotional distress? Over the confusion and associations it causes people to make between my name and these negative definitions? As i believe this confusion to be caused intentionally.
Please reply... I'm hysterical and confused.... my life is in ruins.
My whole life I've felt helpless and hopeless.... like i can't do anything about it.
Please tell me there is something i can do.... I'm sure someone has filed a case like this before.
People everywhere treat me like a liar or a criminal of some kind. I feel like I'm being bullied with demonization.
I thought about changing my name but i feel that it would be dishonest and would make me a liar... I'm in a catch22 .
Is there anything i CAN do?.
I live in Forrest City Arkansas.

You can sue (because anybody willing to pay the filing fee can sue).

you will lose because you have no valid claim.

No, you cannot sue your parents over your last name. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with your name, either. Thousands of people have the last name of Cant.

You could have and still can change your name to whatever you would like. How about Robert Can!

My name is Sue, how do you do.

Not a chance on your lawsuit. You didn't mitigate your damages.

OK, all kidding aside, OP you need to get yourself into some sort of counseling program to get your life back on track. The problem is far deeper than your last name. There are lots of programs to help you understand your life offered in your community. Get some help.

No, the word you are confusing your name with is can't. They are NOT the same word.

The word cant has many meanings. One of which is to sing such as a church cantor. It can also mean to set at an angle such as the ceiling was canted rather than being horizontal.

your problems aren't with your name. They are with the fact you are too dumb to realize you have mistaken your name for a word incorrectly and somehow blamed all of your failures on that word.
