    Emancipation Through Pregnancy
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: im pregnant and im 16 years old. I have an ok paying job and so does the father. We both dont like the living enviroments that we have. Could we both get emancipated for the sake of our baby?

Assuming you live anywhere in the US:

    No.

Being a pregnant minor is proof that you need more, not less, adult supervision.

Nowhere in the US does pregnancy provide legal emancipation.

Medical emancipation - yes. With the help of your doctor, you can make your own decisions about your health care and that of your baby.

But what slim chance you may have had for emancipation beforehand, you kissed goodbye when you got pregnant. We rarely emancipate minors in this country anyway but when we do, it's because they're already on their own and financially independent. With a baby to take care of? Not going to happen. Kids are expensive.
