Scroll up and read my post. I covered some of this. No, there is nothing you can do to "make things right." Best course of action, as LL mentioned, might be to steer clear of the store for a bit.

And by the way it's not "attempted" fraud. It is fraud. Actually most likely it's just going to be considered RETAIL THEFT. As soon as you made a false representation to try and get something you weren't entitled to it because criminal theft.
