When Does Separate Property Become Part of the Marital Estate
My question involves a marriage in the states of: Texas and Arkansas.
Under what circumstances can a spouse – or the “marital estate” - acquire an interest in the separate property of the other spouse?

You're not going to get divorced in two states. Your marital estate is likely mostly or exclusively in one state. Unless your spouse is amenable to your forum shopping, which I doubt, you're going to end up litigating in the state where the marital assets are located.
