What Should a Minor Expect After Getting Caught Shoplifting
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida
my daughter was shoplifting at belks and got caught. At the time she was 16 years old she just turned 17.The value of the stuff she had taken was 124 dollars. She's an straight A student and never been in trouble before. my question is what to expect when she goes to court on the 11th. She doesn't live with me she stay in a different state . Are they going to make her stay in Florida or what should I expect as the outcome?

Should we be inferring that this is juvenile court? In what state?
The outcome in juvenile court is going to turn on the court's impression of the minor's school, home, community and prior criminal records, and of how great an intervention is necessary to get the minor's life back on track. The impact of a juvenile disposition can vary significantly by state.
