withholding cashier's checks? Why would she be withholding cashier's checks?
but no. A person can walk into a bank, and purchase a cashier's check. Unless the money was debited from the person's account, the only record of it is the "stub" the bank keeps. That is not going to necessarily be associated with any particular person or account that is searchable by those items.
If you are speaking of cashier's checks she received from somebody else; the bank is not going to hold them for her. Either she cashes or deposits them or she holds them.
I believe she closed an account and has the money in a cashier's check. It was $40,000+ and the account was closed over a year ago. This is in California. She is getting everything and I think she planned it all along. Should I subpoena her bank accounts or a waste of time? Thank you for the info and responding.
What is the source of the income, and have you filed for divorce or separation?
She disclosed the check...
