Completing an I-130 Petition for Parents Unlawfully in the U.S.
    Hello,

I am applying I-130 application for my parents. I am 21 and a US Citizen. My parents came here illegally in 1984 and I have filled out application I-130 for each of them but I am stuck on question 22. They are still living here illegally so I know they don't qualify for adjustment of status in the US so what would I write down for that question. The question is as follows

    22. Complete the information below if your relative is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status.
Your relative is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident at the USCIS office in:
If your relative is not eligible for adjustment of status, he or she will apply for a
visa abroad at the American consular post in:
    (City) (State) (City) (Country)

NOTE: Designation of a U.S. embassy or consulate outside the country of your relative's last residence does not guarantee acceptance for processing by that post. Acceptance is at the discretion of the designated embassy or consulate.

    Thank you and please help:)

    Re: I-130 Application Question 22
As they are illegally present, you should consult an immigration attorney. The system is not directly designed to give those subject to deportation automatic citizenship because their anchor baby turned 21.
