Bringing a Minor Sister to the U.S.
I have a 10 year old sister i want to bring here to live with me. i understand i would need to be her sponsor. My issue is that she and i have the same father but our father isn't listed on my birth certificate. when i was born my father was not present but married my mother 2 months later but they never changed my bc. one of the requirements of to bring her here is that i show our birth certificates with his name. I am now almost 24 with no father on my bc. what, if anything, can i do to still petition for her to come here
Re: Bringing a Paternal Minor Sister to the U.S. but
Was paternity ever established? Was your father ever legally declared your father?
Re: Bringing a Paternal Minor Sister to the U.S. but
Sibling petitions take a long time no matter the age of the sibling. She will likely be over 20 years old by the time her priority date is current.

Short of adoption, I do not foresee an easy path.
