Teenage Sexting and Child Pornography Laws

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Texas

Child pornography is illegal because usually, it involves a child being kept in slavery by an adult using them for it.

So it pisses me off when two teens are sexting each other nudes of themselves, and not sharing the pics with anyone else, and they get charged with making CP. :wallbang:
Taking pictures of yourself shouldn't be CP, because there is no child abuse or slavery involved. That is idiotic, sexting laws and CP Laws need to be separate.

Could the above case really happen? Or is that only if the sending is non-consensual, like revenge porn?

Sorry but sending nude pictures of yourself is distributing child porn. Failing to immediately delete it if sent to you is possession of child porn.

There re needs be no force or slavery involved and often, there is neither.
