Should I Fight My Ticket if the Location of Where I Was Speeding is Wrong
My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Arkansas
Hi, I am a student from Conway, Arkansas. Back in February I was issued a speeding ticket for going 45 in a 30, however on the location of my ticket the officer wrote down, the speed limit is 45mph there. I was wondering if I could fight this ticket, if so how, and would I have any luck?
Re: Should I Fight My Ticket if the Location of Where I Was Speeding is Wrong
If in fact you can prove that the location on the ticket where the officer claims you were speeding had a 45 MPH limit, and you're ticketed for driving at 45 MPH, I would try documenting that to the prosecutor and seeing if they'll dismiss the ticket.
Note, a ticket may include multiple references to location including the location where you were allegedly speeding, the location where you were pulled over and, at times, the officer's location at the time he measured your speed. Although I accept that you are probably looking at the correct spot on the ticket, as I cannot review the ticket myself I suggest double-checking.
