Can an Emancipated Minor Get Subsidized Housing
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Arizona
I have court to be emancipated in a little less than 2 weeks. I have been on my on for the past two years. I had an apartment with some older friends of mine where i paid rent. They ended up taking my money and kicking me out. I was wondering if there are any programs to help me with housing?

Re: Is There Housing Assistance for Emancipated Minors in Arizona
You understand that being emancipated means supporting yourself and not being supported by the taxpayers, right?

Just the opposite. If the court finds that you are unable to support yourself and continue to live on your own, your petition for emancipation can be denied. If you require the help of anyone other than yourself to support you, then you need to be back under the control of your parents so they can support you. That's your program to help you with housing until your 18th birthday.

Read this. Part of getting emancipated is proving that you can support yourself.

Yep, to answer the question, sure you could get subsidized housing if you were emancipated but no court would emancipate you if getting such would be required for you to live.
