Can I Legally Run Away from Home
My question involves juvenile law in the State of: I am 17 and I live in Iowa and my parents and I go through a lot of things about my sexual preferences and me "Coming out". I am told that I am ruining my dads day from my mom and dad. My dad and I have gotten physical once. I have friends who I can live with I would pay rent, and I would get a job. I have turned to leaving any way I can military, running away and honestly sometimes other ways to leave permanently. If there is any way please tell me.

Sure, you can leave when you are 18.

You can leave the minute you turn 18 and never look back. As long as you are still 17, the only way you can legally leave is with your parents' permission.

Your parents can always give you permission to live somewhere else. But, unless you have their permission, you're not going anywhere until you are 18.
