Will a Juvenile's License be Supsended for Repeated Speeding Violations
This is in the great state of Ohio.
Basically as the title states. Just tonight I received my 3rd speeding ticket while as a juvenile :wallbang:. As I would already know and others as well, once you get your third ticket your license is suspended for 1 year. I understand this but I have only been convicted of 1 speeding ticket so far. I am currently fighting my 2nd speeding ticket. My question is that if I beat my 2nd speeding ticket, will I have to worry about losing my license for a year? Under my knowledge it is if you are convicted of 3 not given 3, please correct me if I am wrong.

Here is the code section in its entirety: 4510.31 Suspension of probationary, restricted license, or temporary permit for juvenile adjudications.
You would be correct that you must be "convicted", and while I have no idea what circumstances you were cited under, I still feel that to fool yourself into believing you have a chance of beating a speeding ticket, you are more likely to be disappointed... But even if you beat it, you're already a habitual offender all while you haven't received your regular license yet... And unless you take some drastic measures to change your behavior, its only a matter of time before you get another citation, or come close to another suspension or much worse...

The only reason why I believe that I will beat it is because I have factual proof from my vehicle and GPS showing that I was not going over the posted speed limit and also have a witness in my car plus it was via aircraft needing both officers in court at the same time doubling my chance that an officer won't appear. Do you really think I will be considered a habitual offender because of just one ticket? I wouldn't think so for just one violation. Either way, I'm prepared to have my license suspended for some time but will try for restricted driving seeing as I will need to commute too my university and job.

You should have thought about the need for a license before getting so many tickets.

Well I'm commuting to my university instead of living on campus to save money so I must have thought about having the need then and still do. Plus, it's not like I was planning on getting so many tickets... If I would've known that I would've been ticketed then I wouldn't be discussing this here.

Oh, honey. You're kidding, right?
WE LIVE IN OHIO! Our fair state has a well deserved reputation for having some of the hard-assest cops in the nation. If you fart hard enough, you're gonna get a speeding ticket. Stop speeding.
You MIGHT have a chance of beating this one, but don't count on it.

I am now clearly aware of that.

I only plan on beating one ticket. The one that I just received, I'll plead guilty and take the suspension and get restricted driving but like you said, if I don't beat it, I will still end up getting a suspended license and ask for restricted driving.
Re: Will a Juvenile's License be Supsended for Repeated Speeding Violations
You don't automatically get restricted driving just for the asking.

I know. Under these circumstances I can.
Ohio Revised Code Section 4510.021
An order issued by a court that modifies a court suspension in some way. It usually is issued to allow an individual to drive to and from work, but the court may also specify privileges for educational, medical and other reasons. In rarer instances, it may be an order for termination of the rest of the suspension.
Re: Will a Juvenile's License be Supsended for Repeated Speeding Violations
Not seeing anything in that section that says if you ask for a restricted license instead of having it suspended outright, the court is mandated to provide it.
