Changing Back to My Maiden Name After Divorce
My question involves name change laws in the State of: missouri
How do I go about getting my maiden name back? I've been told to go to the social security office, show them my divorce papers and i can get it changed, when I did that the gentleman at the window said that in the divorce papers it should say that my name will be changed back to the maiden name. There is nothing in the decree that says this, so what are my options in getting my name changed back?

Re: Now Divorced,i Want My Maiden Name Back
Then I'll amend my answer:
Your chances of changing your child's name to your maiden name when YOU don't even have your maiden name are about zero if Dad objects.
They're not good to begin with, at her age.
