Will a Marijuana Conviction Cause a Driver's License Suspension
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Arkansas

I am currently awaiting trial for a possession of marijuana (about 1-2 grams at maximum) charge. I simply wanted to know if my driver's license will be suspended and what will likely happen if I am found guilty through trial (I did NOT plead guilty). I have previously had one misdemeanor charge which is off my record after going through probation. Anybody with experience with such matter in Arkansas or know about what usually happens in really minor possession of marijuana cases in Arkansas, imput would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Re: Possession of Marijuana
If convicted you WILL lose your license for six months. You'd be well advised to get a lawyer. If your prior was not a drug conviction, you can get the proceedings deferred again and if you pass the probation the charges will be dropped. Your license is still going to be suspended.
