Statute of Limitations in Texas for Sexual Child Abuse
My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of: My sister was sexually abused from age 5 to age 16. It has been 11 yrs and she has filed charges now. Does she still have a case and is still under the SOL ? Thanks!

Depends on the charge. Many of the felonious sexual abuse of children have NO LIMITATIONS. The charges can be brought at any time, even after the child becomes an adult. Other charges can have 2 - 10 year limitations. There are a few things that can toll (further extend) the limitations period. She should contact the district attorney.
