Is There a Statute of Limitations on Welfare Fraud in Wisconsin
My question involves criminal law for the state of: Wisconsin, just as stated, is there a statute of limitations on welfare fraud?
Re: Is There a Statute of Limitations on Welfare Fraud in Wisconsin
The WI SOL on felonies is 6 years, on misdemeanors it's 3 years.
Whether welfare fraud is a felony or misdemeanor probably depends on how much money is involved.

Is that three years since it happened or three years aince they found out?

Sorry, but there are so many places to look for that answer and I don't have the time to do it.
You are welcome to study the WI criminal code at:

Or, if you did commit welfare fraud, consult an attorney.
