    Is There a Statute of Limitations on Welfare Fraud in Wisconsin
    My question involves criminal law for the state of: Wisconsin, just as stated, is there a statute of limitations on welfare fraud?

    The WI SOL on felonies is 6 years, on misdemeanors it's 3 years.

    Whether welfare fraud is a felony or misdemeanor probably depends on how much money is involved.

    Is that three years since it happened or three years aince they found out?
