How are Debts Discharged in Bankruptcy
My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Florida, Chapter 7 BK

I'm 21 years old. 42k in dischargeable debt. 60k in total debt. I've been dealing with this problem since 18. I've decided to take control, wipe away as much debt as possible through chapter 7, and work to pay off any remaining debts. I have all the paper work filled out properly thanks to http://www.flmb.uscourts.gov/.

The process is slightly confusing, so far both this forum and avvo.com have been an immense help. My question is, when I receive a discharge from the bankruptcy court, what then is there to do? Am I responsible for sending notice of the discharge to all of my creditors? Otherwise how would they know about the courts decision?

My concern is that I want to be as thorough as possible in that I take care of all old credit accounts, car repo debt, apartment lease debt, etc. all at the same time. I'm not at the finish line yet but guidance is appreciated.

The creditors are listed on the matrix, and they receive notice from the court when you first file.

They are notified by the court that you've filed, and they will receive instructions on how to object if that's what they want to do.
