How to Fight a Ticket When Everybody is Corrupt
My question involves traffic court in the State of: WA

So what to do once you have stumbled into a situation where you have discovered and proven that the traffic cop is dirty, the Sheriff's Dept is dirty, and the County Prosecutor is dirty? The whole mess is tied together into a special pet project conceived by the Prosecutor to generate revenue to meet the fiscal budget.

It begs the question: is the Court dirty too?
Anything goes in this particular County. It has the dubious distinction of being the poster-child for Police Lying on a national level.

I could not make up a story like the one which has transpired in this case. Maybe Lee Child or James Patterson or David Balducci could; but I couldn't.

I can't discuss this case openly without risking my life at this point. That sounds terribly dramatic but this isn't funny. It is real. Careers would teeter if this information came out and was clarified. I realize that this sounds grandiose but the issue is a lot larger than I want to be involved in.

Not sure where to go from this point. I am on a fixed income and can not afford to retain an attorney.

    Seattle area.

I need to discuss this with an attorney who would have an interest in the preservation of the civil rights of someone who is caucasian, not a minority, and who was a victim of police misconduct and abuse of the color of law and malicious prosecution; but was not kicked or shot.

There were many other victims of this scam that was being run to generate revenue. I can explain the details and mechanics of how it was done. The sick thing is that in order to run the scam it, by definition, had to compromise the safety of school children. It is just creepy and absurd.

What now? I don't want to have to change my name and move to Mexico or be in the Federal Witness Protection Program...but I am unwilling to lie and claim that I commited an infraction that I did not commit; not by 1/8 mile.

It has been over 1 1/2 years now before the Court (District to Superior) and it seems like an impasse now. I don't trust anyone under the roof of that Courthouse and am not sure of what to do next.

    help!

If it is over a traffic infraction, the world is not coming to an end. They may or may not grant a deferral for a school zone ticket. http://www.courts.wa.gov/court_rules/pdf/CLJIRLJ6.2.pdf

Give someone that loves the spotlight a call. Someone like James Egan. I bet they would do that Pro-bono.

This matter is not really about a Notice of Infraction. That was what opened Pandora's Box.
Now it is about knowing the truth beyond a reasonable doubt. The Court and those involved know the big secret and now it is essentially "Tag; You're It."

Disagreeable, the referral re James Egan is what helped.

Moderators, I did something pretty stupid in choosing my user name (identifying myself) and I'd like to modify it but I don't see that option.

Bear in mind that I am a disabled veteran and have a permanent brain injury. I am not who or what I used to be.

While I might agree that you do need professional help, I doubt James Egan or any other attorney can do much to help you in this case!

    Best of luck either way.
