    Group of Minors Caught Stealing
The other day we got caught stealing. UTAH. We are all minors. 14, 14, & 15. We took like really stupid things like socks, altogether it was no more than $50. I don't know if they sent in a cop or security, but they gave us these papers saying we can't go on that property until like next year. They just made our parents come down and get us, and they had us sign these papers. Will this go on our record even though this was the first time? They also asked for our school, will our school be notified? Would we have to go to court?

We don't know if it was mall security or the actual police. But they gave my parents their name, badge number, & case number.

Badge number, case number - likely police.

You need to ask your parents to get a lawyer. A group of 3 shoplifting can be a serious charge.

Will our school be notified? & will it go on our criminal record?

You may have a Juvenile record until you turn 18.

You need to ask your parents to consult with a Criminal Defense Attorney. You also need to tell your parents about the Civil Demand letter that will be arriving from the stores lawyers soon, it needs to be paid or can affect your parents credit history.

If you are getting snow in Utah I would suggest getting out the snow shovel and start going door to door......
