Credit Card Suit Served on Defendant's Former Address
My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: KY
The sheriff tried to serve a summons to my husband regarding a credit card debt. I presume they were sueing him. We are separated and he doesnt even live in the same state. I told him he doesnt live here anymore. What can I expect will happen next. Will they keep coming to my house looking for him?

If they have reason to believe he still lives at your residence they may continue to attempt to serve him there. It is up to the plaintiff to take the info they now have and plan their actions.

You may find it taped to the door on some subsequent visit. You should let your husband know that they are trying (or perhaps have served him) at your address.

What happens if the person has gone overseas?
